They revolve thousands of times per minute and its quality is a deciding factor in the performance of a motor. Minimal production tolerance, high rpm stability, minimal mechanical bearing play and reliable endurance of the crankshaft are the basic requirements for optimal tuning of the motor. The MAZUCHELLI standard crankshafts have a 43mm stroke and are suitable for standard tuned engines and minor 50cc tuning projects. If more ambitious tuning is planned, the race crankshafts represent the ideal solution. They are not only more accurately balanced, but are also equipped with an extended inlet port timing which makes them a perfect basis for engine tuning projects between 50cc and 70cc.For high-end tuning MAZZUCHELLI also have full-circle crankshafts available. There full-circle webs increase the fuel mixture density per stroke and with it the pre-compression in the crankcase. Their potential can be fully realised when combined with a longer stroke of for example 44mm or 46mm. This raises the torque values while also providing a noticeable boost in performance. These crankshafts can only be used in combination with a reed-valve set up and we have sorted them into the groups of compatible engine casings. Their full-circle crankshafts for the MALOSSI and POLINI engine casings are equipped with different diameter crankshaft webs than those destined for use with the SIMONINI casings.Conclusion
