This is a “no-rev limit” module that offers a 5 to10% acceleration increase and better top speed. This is an Alternating Current (AC) module and is only compatible with machines that use an AC electrical system. There is a very simple way to determine if your ATV or scooter uses a DC or AC system. Turn your ignition key to ON position but do not start the engine. Flip your light switch to ON. The light will shine if it is on a DC system. With an AC electrical system, the engine needs to be running for the lights to come on. A note on color: These high performances CDI modules come in both an Alternating Current (AC) and a Direct Current (DC) version but are visually almost identical. To distinguish between the two versions the manufacturer uses two different shades of orange. The DC module is enclosed in a deeper, richer, and more vivid orange similar to the color used on traffic cones or life vests.
