The newGRAND SPORT Piston Series for the PX 200 original cylinder offers for the first time high quality, thinner and more durable piston rings manufactured of ductile iron with chromed surface. A feature that is usually available only with real sport pistons is now available in original cylinders. These two piston rings make highest durability a guarantee and dependable sealing qualities with a long life. The rings are now available in 1.5 mm (original 2.5 mm) and offer real options in exhaust width and modifications. Nothing should stand in the way of higher rpm’s! Next to these features, the piston is manufactured in Italy and shows it’s qualities through it’s high proportion of silicon with ideal durability and reduced risk of siezure. The main job ofpiston rings is to seal the combustion chamber against the piston housing and to channel the heat from piston to cylinder. Above this, pistons are also there to regulate the lubrication household, a major function. This means they are always working under pressure, often suffer wear and tear and should be replaced regularly. Loss of compression, lowered performance and poor start reaction are the exact description of worn out piston rings
.We offer piston rings up to4. oversize (os) for many models and cylinders. The listedbore always shows the size of the cylinder. There are normal and L-shapes, with tuning cylinders also trapeze and half-trapeze shaped piston rings.
take care when installing piston rings, do not over stretch, otherwise they may break. Pay attention to piston ring stop play, type and model. Trapeze rings have only one installation direction!The right equipment is a great help when working on cylinders: Piston ring pliers BU5045, BUZZETTI gudgeon pin tool installation/removal 15194000 and gudgeon pin chuck 17820000.
